Organic Basil mix

A typical element of the Italian culinary tradition such as basil is revisited in this organic, tasty and nutritious mix. We have combined three varieties of basil: Genovese, sweet and delicate; Lemon, fresh and citrus; Licorice, sweet and with an aftertaste of anise.
If individually they are delicious, it is together that they complement and enrich each other’s flavor.
The organic seeds of this mix develop small green leaves, which grow slower than those of other microgreens, but we can assure you that the wait will be paid off.

How can I grow it?

Producing organic Basil mix sprouts is quick and easy, even at home.
Basil mix, like all other variants of the same family, has a mucilaginous seed: this means that when it comes into contact with water, it develops a mucous membrane around it to ensure proper and constant moisture throughout germination. Therefore, we advise you not to soak the seeds, not to plant them too densely and not to water them excessively, especially in the first days of growth.
Keep the seeds in the dark by watering them about a couple of times a day until they have fully germinated after 4/5 days. After that, place them in sunlight until they are ready to be harvested: this will ensure that they develop the best possible flavour and aroma.
After about 20 days you can harvest your Basil mix microgreens, cutting them as close to the root as possible, and enjoy them.

How can I eat it?

The Organic Basil mix combines three different flavors, which together give off a sweet taste, fresh and with some sour tips, for this reason it is very versatile. We recommend it as an addition to your salads, as a complement to meat and fish dishes or to make a different but – we guarantee – delicious pesto.

Organic Basil seeds may contain traces of soy, mustard, wheat, gluten and grasses.
Store the seeds in a cool and ventilated place, with temperature between 8° and 20° C, away from weather, humidity changes and sunlight.
