Organic red Orach
The organic seeds of Atriplice rossa, also known as Spinace di monte, botanical name Atriplex hortensis, are an ancient variety of European origin. This variety is particularly popular and used because of its unmistakable colour. This is also why it is appreciated for producing not only microgreens, but also edible flowers and as an ornamental plant.
A curiosity: today, organic red Atriplice seeds are classified as a rare species to be protected and propagated for the protection of the diversity of ancient products.

How can I grow it?
Producing organic red Atriplice microgreens is quick and easy, even at home.
Organic red Atriplice seeds do not need any soaking before sowing.
To create the right humidity for red Atriplice seeds, we recommend you to cover the container in which you will sow them and keep them in the dark for the first 4/5 days while they complete germination. After that, you can move them to sunlight. Organic red Orach microgreens grow quickly and you will be able to harvest them after just 10/12 days.
For gardening enthusiasts and those who would like to add an extra touch of colour to their home, we recommend sowing red Orach in pots with potting soil and growing them in a sunny location while watering regularly. After 30/40 days you will be able to pick the first purple-red leaves, whereas for the fully matured ornamental plant you will have to wait 60/70 days.

How can I eat it?
Organic red Atriplice microgreens have a slightly earthy flavour reminiscent of Spinach. Both the microgreens and the edible flowers are perfect as an edible garnish for soups, salads and side dishes.

Organic Red Atriplice seeds may contain traces of soy, mustard, wheat, gluten and grasses.
Store the seeds in a cool, ventilated place, with temperature between 8° and 20° C, away from weather, changes in humidity and sunlight.
