Chickpea – Annabelle

NON-GMO organic seed for sprouting

3,30 56,00

Chickpea is one of the oldest and most widely consumed legumes in the world. Its sprouts are the ideal choice for those who want to enjoy this variety in its full flavour and nutritional value: as soon as they are sprouted, they release their delicate, nutty aroma and provide our organism with maximum nutrient intake, which is partially lost during cooking.

Description

Organic Chickpea
Organic Chickpeas, botanical name Cicer arietinum, are an excellent choice for those who are new to sprouting: by following a few simple steps, you will obtain abundant sprouts that are good for the palate and good for the body.

How can I grow it?
Producing organic Chickpea sprouts is quick and easy, even at home.
Start with soaking: the right ratio is about 1 part seeds to 2 parts water. Mix your seeds and let them soak for 8/10 hours. Then drain and place them back into the container, away from direct light.
Continue to rinse them under water at least a couple of times a day and, if you do this, after just 3/5 days your organic Chickpea shoots will be ready to be used in your best recipes.

How can I eat it?
Organic Chickpea sprouts are great added to salads, sandwiches and soups for a boost of vegetable protein in your diet, or blend them for a creamy hummus with a pleasant nutty taste. You can eat them raw, after washing them thoroughly with cold water, or cooked in a pan or steamed.

Organic Chickpea seeds may contain traces of soy, mustard, wheat, gluten and grasses.
Store the seeds in a cool, ventilated place, between 8° and 20° C, away from weather, changes in humidity and direct sunlight.
