Tarragon (Estragon)

Organic non GMO seeds for microgreens and flowers

9,80 220,40

Tarragon is an aromatic plant, famous since antiquity for its many uses in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and food. Today, from its seeds you can grow fresh and tasty microgreens, as aromatic as the adult plant but much richer in nutrients.

Description

Organic Tarragon

The organic seeds of Tarragon, botanical name Artemisia dracunculus, give rise to small, green microgreens. This variety is best known and appreciated as a spice made from the adult plant, but the microgreens also have great potential: thanks to their fresh, intense flavour with a hint of aniseed and mint, and their tender texture, they are excellent for flavouring any dish.

How can I grow it?

Producing organic Tarragon microgreens is quick and easy, even at home.
This variety prefers a warm, sunny environment, so it is not necessary to soak the seeds in water nor keep them in the dark for the first few days. After sowing them slightly apart (preferably in potting soil), place the container in a bright place and water sparingly and often. The soil shouldn’t be dry, but you also have to be careful not to create water stagnations.
In 5/7 days the first shoots will sprout, while you will have to allow 12/15 days to harvest the microgreens.

How can I eat it?

Organic Tarragon microgreens are characterised by their small but richly flavoured leaf with a fresh aniseed and mint aftertaste. We recommend eating them raw, so they retain their texture and flavour, and using them to flavour sauces or fish and meat dishes.

Organic Tarragon seeds may contain traces of soy, mustard, wheat, gluten and grasses.

Store seeds in a cool, ventilated place, with temperature between 8° and 20° C, away from weather, changes in humidity and sunlight.
