Description
Organic Sunflower
The organic Sunflower Odino, botanical name Heliantus annuus, is the large-seeded variant of our sunflowers. In just a couple of weeks, it develops robust, bright green leaves. With their sweet, slightly earthy aroma and juicy, crunchy texture, you won’t be able to do without them in your recipes.
How can I grow it?
Producing organic Sunflower sprouts and microgreens is quick and easy, even at home.
Before soaking and sowing, we suggest you keep the seeds in the fridge for 2/3 days; this step will reawaken their germinative will, allowing you to obtain a quicker and more uniform harvest.
After removing the seeds from the fridge, soak them in cold water for about 10/12 hours, then drain and gently dry them. Once sown, store them in the dark for the first 4/6 days while they complete germination.
By watering at least twice a day, your organic sunflower microgreens will be ready to be harvested and enjoyed in 12/14 days.
How can I eat it?
Sunflower organic microgreens have a delicate flavour with a slightly earthy, nutty aftertaste that enriches your recipes without covering the taste of other foods. Thanks to their crunchiness, they are perfect to eat not only as an addition to your favourite hot or cold dishes, but also on their own as a simple snack or base for your salads.
Organic Sunflower seeds may contain traces of soy, mustard, wheat, gluten and grasses.
Store the seeds in a cool, ventilated place, between 8° and 20° C, away from weather, changes in humidity and sunlight.
