Description
Organic Pea Green Affila
The organic Green Pea, botanical name Pisum sativum, is characterised by its long stems with lots of tendrils. With its crisp, juicy texture, bright green colour and sweet, delicate taste, it is extremely versatile in cooking.
How can I grow it?
Producing organic Green Pea microgreens is quick and easy, even at home.
The first step is to soak the seeds in water for 6-8 hours. Then drain them and place them in a container with soil, leaving them covered and in the dark for the first 3/4 days. This step is important so that the seeds germinate as evenly as possible: avoid exposing the seeds to direct light and maintain a constant humidity.
When they start to sprout, move them into the light and continue watering them until its characteristic tendril-like stems have developed, after a total of about 10 days.
How can I eat it?
Organic Green Pea microgreens are the perfect addition to give freshness and crunch to any dish: ideal in salads, smoothies, sandwiches, soups and even fried. Once you try them, you won’t be able to do without them!
Organic Pea seeds may contain traces of soy, mustard, wheat, gluten and grasses.
Store the seeds in a cool, ventilated place, with temperature between 8° and 20° C, away from weather, changes in humidity and direct sunlight.
